Despite being a bit recluse in Real Life, I have no problems with establishing social media presence using my own name and face. I have no problems presenting pieces of personal life or interests there. I’ve been much less bullied in the international cyber arenas than in my RL, which is interesting. Of course this does not count in online games where those having-not-a-life bully types like to roam. If I have to do the statistics, most bullies’ nationality has been – hold it – Finnish, interesting and sad.

I’m writing this now because I decided to jump into a couple more social media platforms. There are more motives than just promoting my novel. Aside my spamming, I have really enjoyed getting to know people all the way from the other side of the globe, even some with made up id’s(as long as their delivery is tolerable). Also I could say that I have made a big lot of open-cleavage followers(not human, though).

Why the title? It just means that since I’m not a native English speaking/writing person, my many posts or comments are followed by some moments of anxiousness: Did I write it correctly? There are three factors: Language, culture and people. Simple grammatical errors are mostly tolerated while constant errors may alienate some followers(missing editing option be damned). Cultural and human factors are more difficult, I may write a perfect sentence but at worst the meaning is changed, the order of words may raise silent mayhem in the other end. I wish folks would give me a note when this happens: it’s a lesson learned, life goes on. That’s why there is a disclaimer in my bio, just bad English. Of course it can’t be helped if I simply give a stupid comment, considering the situation and circumstances.

I’m happy with the folks interacting with me. Disagreeing with me or correcting me is not bullying. If I’ve been bullied enough in RL, don’t you think my skin is thick already? I’m not counting likes, I just enjoy feeding some thoughts and things into the timeline. If they evoke some thinking, I’m even more happy.
