So, the great film studios were not interested in my superb, smashing adventure novel. There’s something to chew, so I have decided to quit authoring and withdraw into a cave on the mountains to mutter by myself until Time itself gets frustrated and removes me from its roster.

(For the road of my novel, check out the two previous blog updates).

Seriously, I have some 10K words in the draft of a sequel and even some ideas for third novel for the series. However, there is no urge to continue, despite the fact that I have even outlined the plot. I guess this is not just one natural pause in the flow, instead it feels like a final obstruction. I just do not want to write. So, why? I guess my existing novel does similarly to many other indie authors’ works, there are sales now and then and thousands of pages read in Kindle Unlimited. It’s not really a show stopper if there aren’t more. It’s not a writer’s block, I just feel no need to write.

– Sorry Lass, I don’t think threats work with the film studios.

Of course this is a ‘never say never’ scenario. Lots of factors out there, starting from the health and shape, and based on these, the mental state, which is surrounded by the ever changing variables of life.

At least I’m writing this.

– Listen Lass, about the sequel

I have noticed the growing amount of Twitter/X posts complaining about the infamous writer’s block, asking for help. I have only one advice: If you feel you really have to write instead of taking a break, steer aside from your manuscript and lash out what ever comes to mind into separate scripts. Why not write a blog about the block? Or just any gibberish you can smirk at later.

Just an idea that can set the right gear on.

Yes, those images are generated by AI. Below is a pic I made in 2012 as a joke for Artificial Intelligence authoring. These days it’s not a joke anymore.

Until later. Perhaps I will report how great it is to write.
