Been quiet on the blog side since there is not much happening around and I immediately regret what I just wrote. Oh yes, the war(the one we have really noticed), the persistent Covid-19 and personal downcomings. The last mentioned haven’t luckily been severe but they have had a certain mental effect causing lack of motivation and creativity. So I’ve been happy enough to write queries to literary agencies and receive rejections for my debut novel.
After years of having no more than minor cold couple of times annually, this spring missus brought home some relative of norovirus from her nursing work. Luckily we did not have it simultaneously so that the other was there to take care of the patient. Survived it after diligent worshipping of porcelain.
Next: Partial paresis on my face. An ambulance screamed me warp speed to a bigger hospital 50 kilometers off, where it was certified that no brain stroke had part in it. The diagnosis did not reveal the culprit for this one. I’m slowly regaining control of the other half.
Next: Covid-19. Thanks to booster shots, it passed in three days as a minor cold with some fewer.
So, feeling a bit empty while trying to sponge some motivation from the great #WritingCommunity in Twitter, I think I’ll just install a couple of short stories in this space. Old ones and freely available in Smashwords via links on the left but maybe more easily readable here in case of shyness for Smashwords.
I’ll start with ‘Liberi Sursum Coeli,’ which has some far echoes of the life the of great astronomer William Herschel and his sister Caroline Herschel. Expect it some time soon in this space.
Until then, peace and good health.
